Sandton City launches mobile app

Sandton City has launched a new mobile application that allows shoppers to access all the information they need about the centre instantly. 

 The free app will enable users to access the store directory, floor maps, store promotions and special offers with direct links to call the stores. The mall information is linked to Google maps to help those unfamiliar with the centre to find it.

The app is highly interactive and allows users to engage with the centre directly – for example, by checking  the balance on a Sandton City gift card, or adding reminders as to where they have parked, and timing how long they have been parked for.  They can also share their Sandton City experience as any of the information in the app can be posted to Facebook or Twitter.

“We are continually striving to offer a world class experience for our shoppers and the app is a value added service that enables shoppers to get any information they need at the touch of a button,” said centre manager, Sharon Swain.

“Sandton City prides itself on setting the trends and we understand that the mobile space is critical to engage with customers simply and quickly. Our Twitter and Facebook accounts have built an active community of followers who are already interacting with us, providing feedback and asking questions about the centre. We believe the app will offer another platform for this engagement with our customers,” said Swain.

The Sandton City App is compatible with most smartphones including Apple, Android and Blackberry.
