Beiersdorf South Africa appoints new media agency OMD

Beiersdorf South Africa announced the appointment of OMD Media Direction South Africa (OMD) as its new media agency in sub-Saharan Africa, including South Africa. The appointment follows a tender process to procure a new media agency to handle the media strategy and implementation for all of the Beiersdorf brands, previously handled by TBWA.

In October 2011, called for a review of all its media activities in sub-Saharan Africa. An intense process was followed according to Beiersdorf global protocols and standards, for four agencies who were invited to pitch for the account. At the end of this process, OMD was successful in winning the Beiersdorf media business.
