The founder of the world’s most famous whiskey, Jasper (Jack) Newton Daniel would’ve turned 162 this September. Because Jack Daniel’s birth records were destroyed in a court house fire back in the 1800s we aren’t sure of the exact day in September upon which he was born. That’s why it has become customary for Jack fans around the world to celebrate each day of September rather than miss the actual birthday.
Muscle cars were originally developed by bootleggers during American prohibition, when ordinary cars were beefed up to outrun the law intent on cracking down on illegal whiskey trade. Though prohibition has long since fallen away, the love for the American muscle car and the free spirit it signifies, makes the Camaro a fitting choice for an American icon like Jack Daniel’s.
If you’ve ever experienced the Chevrolet Camaro you’ll understand why it has a reputation for making hearts race and palms sweat. Precision-engineered for speed and efficiency, the Camaro is styled to be unmistakable. Camaro was catapulted to popular culture stardom following the car’s role as Bumblebee in the 2007 film Transformers and then again in the 2009 sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In fact these two blockbuster movies helped make Camaro America’s best-selling sports car for 2010 and 2011.
